“I have been taking French classes with Language Door for years. It is like my meditation time. I am so happy that they are offering online classes during this difficult time. Having the class every week and seeing my teacher and other students definitely give me a sense of routine and comfort.”

"We couldn't be happier with Language Door ! My two kids have been studying Spanish for the last 3 years and can now read, write and converse. Not to mention they enjoy speaking Spanish and love their teachers , who are native speakers. Studying online gives a lot of flexibility , we love that as well!"

LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE IN WARWICK

Warwick is a city in Kent County, Rhode Island, the third largest city in the state with a population of 80,487 at the 2020 census. It is located approximately 12 miles south of downtown Providence, Rhode Island, 63 miles southwest of Boston, Massachusetts, and 171 miles northeast of New York City. Warwick was founded by Samuel Gorton in 1642 and has witnessed major events in American history. It was decimated during King Philip’s War (1675–76) and was the site of the Gaspee Affair, the first act of armed resistance against the British, preceding even the Boston Tea Party, and a significant prelude to the American Revolution. Today, it is home to Rhode Island’s main airport, T. F. Green Airport, which serves the Providence area. Warwick is one of Rhode Island’s major manufacturing zones, home to textile factories, metal fabrication centers, and electronic plants. As the city moves into the twenty-first century, finance and high-tech industries are gaining a foothold and appear, along with tourism, to be the wave of the future in Warwick.Rhode Island’s, as well as Warwick’s, economy and labor force benefits from the active participation of immigrants, who comprise nearly two-fifths of workers in production occupations and one-third of workers in healthcare support occupations. As neighbors, business owners, taxpayers, and workers, immigrants are an integral part of Rhode Island’s diverse and thriving communities and make extensive contributions that benefit all. Rhode Island has a relatively large community of immigrants, many of whom emigrated from the Dominican Republic. One in eight Rhode Islanders was born in another country, while one in five residents is a native-born American who has at least one immigrant parent. The majority of immigrants speak English well and are naturalized citizens. Learning a new language in Warwick is a great way to not only connect to the community, but to develop personal growth. Whether you expand in your career or tour around, a language is a sure way to connect you to people in all aspects of your life.  Language Door, with our native speaking teachers, is open for all your linguistic needs!
