LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE IN HONOLULU
Honolulu, on the island of Oahu’s south shore, is capital of Hawaii and gateway to the U.S. island chain. The Waikiki neighborhood is its center for dining, nightlife and shopping, famed for its iconic crescent beach backed by palms and high-rise hotels, with volcanic Diamond Head crater looming in the distance. Sites relating to the World War II attack on Pearl Harbor include the USS Arizona Memorial.According to the Hawaii Visitor Statistics Report, Hawaii had more than 10.4 million visitors in 2019. Hawaii is one of the most racially diverse places in the world as there is no majority – everyone is in a minority. In the 2010 Census, 23.6% of Hawaii residents claimed multi-ethnic background, far more than any other state in the USA. You will find a “mixed plate” of ethnic groups in Hawaii; 38.6% of Hawaii’s population is Asian, 24.7% is White, 10% is Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islanders, 8.9% is Hispanic, 1.6% is Black or African American, and 0.3% is American Indian and Alaska Native. From visiting to staying, learning a new language in such a diverse community can connect you to people from all around the world.
