LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE IN CLARKSVILLE
Clarksville is the county seat of Montgomery County, Tennessee, United States. It is the fifth-largest city in the state behind Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. The city had a population of 132,929 at the 2010 census, and an estimated population of 158,146 in 2019. For decades, farming and agriculture were the mainstays of the economy until Camp Campbell, the first name for Fort Campbell, starting building. Now, it’s one of the largest military bases in the country and a major employer of Clarksville/Montgomery County. As for quality of living, Clarksville has one of the best locations situated between Land Between the Lakes and Nashville. Locally, there are over 30 parks and plenty of recreational activities centered around the Cumberland River. The cost of living is affordable with no state income tax. Tennessee has a small but growing and thriving immigrant community. One in twenty Tennesseans was born in another country. Roughly 17 percent of all residents working in construction and extraction are immigrants, as well as 15 percent of life, physical, and social sciences employees. The majority of immigrants speak English well and are naturalized citizens or eligible for naturalization. As neighbors, business owners, taxpayers, and workers, immigrants are an integral part of Tennessee’s diverse and thriving communities and make extensive contributions that benefit all.The top countries of origin for immigrants were Mexico (24 percent of immigrants), India (5 percent), Honduras (4 percent), China (4 percent), and Egypt (4 percent). In 2018, 269,996 people in Tennessee (4 percent of the state’s population) were native-born Americans who had at least one immigrant parent. With an economy expanding in culture and diversity, learning a new language is a wonderful way to not only celebrate the culture and community around you, but to expand your personal growth as well. Through Language Door, our native speaking teachers are here to give you an authentic learning experience. We look forward to finding you your perfect class.
