LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE IN RIVERSIDE
Riverside is the 59th largest city in the United States, the 12th largest city in California, and the largest city in California’s Inland Empire metro area. Hills within the city limits include Mount Rubidoux, a city landmark and tourist attraction. Riverside is surrounded by small and large mountains, some of which get a dusting of winter snow. Many residents also enjoy the many beaches of Southern California. Riverside is about a 47-mile drive to the Pacific Ocean and is close to Orange County and Los Angeles County. Riverside’s economy consists largely of light-industry and generates a range of products including aircraft components, automotive parts, gas cylinders, electronic equipment, food products, and medical devices. Supporting the manufacturing sector are several industrial parks, including those in the Hunter Industrial Park, Sycamore Canyon Industrial Park and Airport Industrial Areas. As the county seat of Riverside County and the most populous city in the Inland Empire, Riverside not only houses several legal, accounting, engineering, and banking firms, but is diverse in its languages and community. 34% of the overall population of Riverside are native Spanish speakers, and the next most common language spoken, besides English is Tagalog. Throughout Riverside, tourism and business flourish, making learning a language in this region beneficial to all.
